Perfect weather, breathtaking landscapes, and 1,200 kilometers spread over 4 days across the mountains: the 6th edition of the Trophée des Alpes stands out as a true revival. Organized by Zoulou Racing Heritage departing from Aix-les-Bains, the event delivered on every promise.

 

While the route featured major Alpine passes, the real highlight was the network of brand-new, secret, and quiet backroads. Packed with demanding hairpins and technical rhythm changes, these selective sections provided the ideal battleground for high-level regularity rallying.

A Clash of Titans at the Top !

The battle for the lead lived up to all expectations, pitting two heavyweights of international regularity against each other. On one side, Michel Decremer (three-time winner of the Monte-Carlo Historique), navigated by Jennifer Hugo in their Opel Ascona 400. On the other, Yves Deflandre, nicknamed the "Cannibal"—four-time winner of the Neige et Glace, three-time defending champion of the Trophée des Alpes, five-time winner of the Portugal Histórico, and both European and Belgian champion in the discipline.

 

At the end of a thrilling contest, victory went to Yves Deflandre and his iconic "Clockwork Orange" Porsche 911, co-driven this year by Yves Noelanders, his fourth different navigator for as many Alpine victories! The Belgian frontrunner took top honors after winning 3 out of 4 stages. Savoring his 4th victory on the event, the winner shared: “Beyond our victory, what I will remember most is the incredible atmosphere that reigns over Zoulou Racing Heritage rallies, whether it's the Neige & Glace or this Trophée des Alpes. An organization that is always listening and constantly striving to improve. They surrounded themselves with the best route designers, Bjorn and Jens Vanoverschelde, and the most advanced timing center, JB Time Concept—everything is in place to make this an unmissable event.”

The Apal Coupé Just Off the Podium!

In Historic High Average, behind the Deflandre / Noelanders tandem, 2nd place went to Michel Decremer and Jennifer Hugo (Opel Ascona), followed by Arnaud and Adeline Euvrard (Subaru Impreza) in third.

 

In Low Average, victory went to the rare Apal Coupé driven by Patrick Van Remoortel and Bjorn Clauw. Category winners, they achieved a remarkable performance by finishing just off the overall podium in 4th place. The category podium was completed by the Mini Coopers of couple François and Patricia Durin, and the Nessi brothers.

 

Another standout performance of the week came from the female duo Brigitte Ollier and Élodie Baudin. In a Golf GTi kept in original condition, they convincingly won the Ladies' Trophy and secured a fantastic top-10 overall finish!

 

Georges / Acker Claim the 2026 Zoulou Trophy

 

Winners of the 4x4 category in the 2026 Neige et Glace in February, Daniel Georges and Delphine Acker (Porsche 924 GT) took fifth place in this 2026 Trophée des Alpes, securing the 2026 Zoulou Trophy awarded to the highest-ranked crew across both events organized by Zoulou Racing Heritage this year. In recognition of their loyalty and strong performance, the crew was awarded a €2,000 voucher to be applied toward their entry for either of the two events in 2027.

 

The organiser, Philippe Janssens (Zoulou Racing Heritage) shared a particularly positive assessment as the curtain fell on this 6th edition: “We experienced a unique and exceptional Trophée des Alpes 2026. The core group of participating crews was delighted, and the smiles on their faces every evening fuel our motivation to restore this event to its rightful place among the must-attend dates in the discipline. We will long remember this revival edition, like a landmark cairn placed along Alpine mountain passes. It will remain one of the most beautiful and friendly editions ever. We already have plenty of new ideas for 2027 and a 7th Trophée des Alpes, with dates to be finalized soon. We promise you more innovations and plenty of further improvements!
